Mobile Banking Overview

• How do I scan a barcode with my phone?
  You'll need to download a barcode scanner app from your app store and follow the instructions to scan barcodes.
• What is U.S. Bank Mobile Banking?

  Mobile Banking enables you to connect to your eligible U.S. Bank accounts via the Internet from your mobile phone. You can check account balances, transfer funds, pay bills, deposit checks and more.

• Which accounts can I access with Mobile Banking?

  With Mobile Banking, you can access your U.S. Bank Internet Banking accounts, including checking and savings, credit cards and other loans and lines of credit.

• What do I need to get started?

  You can start using Mobile Banking if you have:

  • enrolled in and have access to U.S. Bank Internet Banking
  • one or more eligible active accounts
  • a Web-enabled mobile device

   

• Can I receive U.S. Bank alerts on my mobile phone?

  Yes. U.S. Bank Account and Security Alerts can be can be delivered by text or email to your mobile phone. Sign up for alerts by logging in to Internet Banking at usbank.com

• Why does U.S. Bank have two different Mobile Banking options?

  We let you choose the type of mobile access that works best for your needs, so we offer both the Mobile website at m.usbank.com and the U.S. Bank Mobile app. We want to provide you with more convenient banking.

• Will I be charged a fee for U.S. Bank Mobile Banking?

  U.S. Bank does not charge a fee to access the Mobile website at m.usbank.com or to download and use the Mobile app.

  Standard messaging and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply and some premium services require fees. You’ll be notified of any fees prior to completing your transaction and will have the option to cancel the transaction to avoid the fee.

• Does U.S. Bank offer Mobile Banking services in languages other than English?

  No. Mobile Banking services are currently only available in English.

• Will U.S. Bank Mobile Banking work on my iPod Touch or iPad (or other tablet computer)?

  Yes. You can use the iPhone mobile banking app on both your iPod Touch and iPad. You can also access the Mobile website at m.usbank.com from any browser.

U.S. Bank Mobile App

• Who can use the U.S. Bank Mobile App?

  Our Mobile App is available to anyone who’s registered for Internet Banking and has at least one eligible account (any U.S. Bank Checking, Savings or Credit account) and a compatible mobile phone.

• Can I use both the U.S. Bank Mobile app and the Mobile website?

  Yes. You can use either or both mobile services, as long as you have registered for U.S. Bank Internet Banking.

• How do I get the Mobile app?

  Internet Banking customers can download the new mobile app with links on the Mobile Banking homepage. iPhone, Android and BlackBerry users can also visit their app stores and search for "U.S. Bank Mobile App".

• Will I need a new U.S. Bank Mobile Personal Identification Number (PIN) if I download the the app?
  No. That’s one of the big improvements of the new app; you no longer need a separate Mobile PIN. Now you can access Internet and Mobile banking with the same Personal ID and Password.
• What happens if I am using the Mobile Wallet and don’t download the new U.S. Bank Mobile App?

  You can continue to use the Mobile Wallet until 11/30/2011. After 11/30, you will not be able to sign in with the Mobile Wallet. Your Internet and Mobile Web banking will not be affected.

• If I download the new U.S. Bank Mobile App, should I delete the Mobile Wallet?

  Yes. Even if you choose not to download the new app, we suggest you delete the Mobile Wallet app from your phone after 11/30/2011.

• I'm having a problem with the Mobile app, who should I call?

  Please call U.S. Bank 24-Hour Banking and Financial Sales at 800-US BANKS (800-872-2657). We're ready to help.

  If you're having technical issues with your phone or have questions about mobile data access or data charges on your phone bill, contact the customer service department of your mobile service provider.

• I mistyped my login and my app is locked. How do I unlock it?

  You can unlock the application by contacting U.S. Bank 24-Hour Banking and Financial Sales at 800-US BANKS (800-872-2657) or by logging in to U.S. Bank Internet Banking, navigating to the Mobile Banking pages and selecting "Manage Your Account".

U.S. Bank Pay A Person

• What is U.S. Bank Pay A Person?

  U.S. Bank Pay A Person, powered by ZashPay ^™, is a way for Mobile app customers to send money electronically from a U.S. Bank account to anyone within the United States. All you need is an email address or a mobile phone number (AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon only). The recipient will receive a notification message with instructions on how to get their money. Money must be claimed on usbank.com or zashpay.com. This feature is not available through the Mobile Web.

• What do I need to do to start using U.S. Bank Pay A Person?

  Sign in to Internet Banking, navigate to ‘Bill Pay’, select ‘U.S. Bank Pay A Person’ and accept the terms and conditions.

• How do I deposit a payment I received to my bank account?

  Mobile app customers can deposit payments directly through the Internet Banking site. After you register for U.S. Bank Pay A Person, future payments will automatically be added to your default account.

• Does it cost anything to deposit a payment to my bank account or to send payments?

  There is no charge to deposit a payment to your bank account or to send money through U.S. Bank Pay A Person.

• What if the person I am sending money to doesn’t have a U.S. Bank account?

  A U.S. Bank account isn't required to receive money. They will need to register at ZashPay.com and designate an account for deposits.

• Do I always have to deposit payments into the same bank account?

  No. If you were sent money you can add multiple accounts to your profile. Mobile app customers registered for the U.S. Bank Pay A Person service can add multiple bank accounts to their profile via Internet Banking and select one account as their default account. Mobile app customers can change their default account through Internet Banking.

• Is the U.S. Bank Pay A Person secure?

  Yes! Feel confident that your U.S. Bank Pay A Person transactions are secure and covered under the same Risk-Free Guarantee that we offer all our online customers. If there's ever a doubt that what you are seeing is legitimate, please be sure to type in the entire website address directly in your browser (e.g., usbank.com or zashpay.com).

• Will I receive text spam from ZashPay.com or usbank.com if I create a profile?

  No. You will only get a text message as a notification when you receive a mobile payment. Also, when phone verification is required, you can choose to receive your verification code via text message.

• Can I send a payment from ZashPay.com?

  No. You can send only send payments from U.S. Bank.

• What if I'm set up as a recipient only on ZashPay.com and forget my Password?

  If you have forgotten your Password on ZashPay.com, please follow the directions to change your Password on the ZashPay.com site.

DepositPoint^TM

• Which smartphones can I use to deposit checks using DepositPoint™ Mobile?

  DepositPoint Mobile is available on the following smartphones

  • All iPhone models, including the 3, 3GS, 4 and 4S
  • Android versions 1.6 and above
• Can I deposit a check with a Blackberry smartphone?

  No. Blackberry smartphones do not support DepositPoint Mobile.

• How do I enroll in DepositPoint?

  You must enroll in DepositPoint through U.S. Bank Internet Banking. Once you are signed in to U.S. Bank Internet Banking, select the “Make a Deposit” link on the left sidebar. You'll be prompted to respond to three enrollment questions regarding expected usage.

• What if I want more information about DepositPoint?
  For more information, visit usbank.com/depositpoint or log in to Internet Banking on usbank.com and select "Make a Deposit."

Security

• Is U.S. Bank Mobile Banking secure?
  Yes! Feel confident that your U.S. Bank Mobile Banking transactions are secure and covered under the same Risk-Free Guarantee that we offer all our Internet customers.
• What happens if my phone is lost or stolen?

  First, you should follow the recommended steps of your mobile service provider to report a lost or stolen phone.

  If you're using Mobile Wallet, please contact U.S. Bank 24-Hour Banking and Financial Sales at 800-US BANKS (872-2657) so we can un-enroll the lost phone from the Mobile Wallet service. You can also un-enroll your phone from the Mobile Wallet by accessing the Mobile Banking pages within U.S. Bank Internet Banking and selecting "Manage Your Account."

  If you’re using the new U.S..Bank Mobile app, there’s no need to contact us or change your Personal ID or Password. When you get your new phone, download the new app or sign in to the Mobile Web to continue your mobile banking.

  As always, you'll want to monitor your accounts via Internet Banking if you think fraud may occur. If fraud does occur, you should contact U.S. Bank 24-Hour Banking and Financial Sales immediately.
