"Promote the personal and professional development of U.S. Bank employees by encouraging and capitalizing on their diversity." All employees are welcome to participate in Development Network activities including full-time, part-time, hourly, exempt, and non-exempt employees. Participation is voluntary and meetings and activities are generally held during non-working hours. Events include personal and professional development, networking, and community involvement programs. Enriching Events Speakers from around the company, including senior executives, as well as outside professional presenters, provide valuable and timely information at Development Network events. Each chapter has a board that plans the meeting topics based on suggestions from employees. Board members are elected annually. The event objectives are to: foster employee empowerment for career growth; encourage and capitalize on the diversity of employees; enhance leadership, management and communication skills; develop professional contacts throughout the company; increase understanding of the needs and priorities of our diverse customer base; and provide opportunities for involvement in community events.
